Acuant chosen by PropTech platform Noodigs for ID verification

Noodigs Realty Services, a software company modernising the home sales transaction, has partnered with Acuant for identity verification.

The company, which is launching a digital platform to connect home buyers and sellers, has selected Acuant’s AssureID. It said it chose to the partner with the RegTech because it needed an easy-to-use method for identity verification for both prospective sellers and buyers involved in the home sales process.

AssureID utilises machine learning, as well as facial recognition technology to quickly and accurately identify individuals using photo-based government-issued IDs such as a driver’s license or a passport. It extracts biometric and alphanumeric data contained in an identity document to authenticate it by applying 50+ forensic document-specific tests in seconds.

Following the deal, Noodigs is deploying AssureID’s mobile solution to quickly capture IDs and authenticate them. It will also create a data log that allows sellers to know who was in their home at any given time and provide a better user experience for its customer base.

“Strategic organisations are taking a more aggressive approach to fraud prevention and identity verification while still protecting personal data,” said Yossi Zekri, President and CEO, Acuant. “With our solution, Noodigs is going above and beyond the precautions taken by the traditional real estate model to verify identities and create a trusted community.”
Acuant is an identity verification platform that claims to instantly reduce fraud while providing seamless customer experiences.

Its solutions include intelligent data capture and auto-fill software, identity document authentication, chip and e-Passport authentication with PKI, facial recognition software and expert manual review of documents. Acuant mitigates risk and meets regulatory requirements such as KYC and AML, while protecting PII. Its partners include start-ups, Fortune 500 and FTSE 350 organisations in all industries.

Last month, Acuant has integrated its new document verification solution into Experian’s fraud and identity platform, CrossCore. Combining Acuant’s document verification with Experian’s identity risk analytics and verification tools allows public sector institutions to comply with the June 2017 National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication on Digital Identity Guidelines.

RegTech 100 company Trulioo also recently partnered with Acuant to provide an identity solution for fraud prevention and AML/KYC compliance. Trulioo’s GlobalGateway API electronic identity verification now includes Acuant’s AssureID, which offers data capture, auto-fill, document authentication, and facial recognition software.
