Accurics, which has built a cyber resilient and “self-healing” cloud native infrastructure, has pulled in a total of $20m for its seed and Series A round.
It raised the two rounds across a six month period, with Intel Capital leading the Series A and ClearSky leading the seed.
The investment funding will help Accurics increase the market momentum and further the development of its technology.
Accurics believes one of the core security issues with cloud native infrastructure is that it is programmatically built and provisioned using infrastructure as code. This manual approach to security means it is unable to keep up with change.
Accurics leverages technology that programmatically detects and mitigates risks before infrastructure is provisioned, which helps to reduce the attack surface. It also monitors the infrastructure in runtime for changes by authorised or malicious users, and programmatically mitigates a variety of risks.
The company claims its platform can “self-heal” by codifying security throughout the development lifecycle.
Intel Capital managing director Sunil Kurkure said, “As cloud breaches continue to increase in velocity and scale, it’s apparent that cloud security techniques must evolve to become programmatic, continuous, and comprehensive.
“Accurics provides these advantages by self-healing cloud infrastructure which is essential to cyber resilience and we are excited to participate in supporting the next phase of the company’s growth.”
