Identity proofing and AI technology developer IDmission has teamed up with TendedBar, an automated bar.
Through IDmission, TendedBar can streamline the one-time registration, onboarding and payment processes more seamlessly and securely.
Customers will have the ability to scan a QR code to initiate the digital bar tab process. The web app captures a selfie, a scan of an identification document and payment details. This information is authenticated by IDmission, including their identity and their age, and then sync it with the customer’s verified identity/payment token with every TendedBar unit.
TendedBar booths can recognise a customer, offer them over 100 cocktails and automatically process one payment after the event. This bar tab can be used at different venues with TendedBar.
IDmission CEO Ashim Banerjee said, “TendedBar has created a perfect use case of digital identity being used to access goods and services in the physical world.
“Tying payments to identity opens up a whole new world of selfie payments. IDmission is honored to be playing a small part in this oncoming revolution in the retail experience.”
TendedBar is expanding across the US, with services available in Jacksonville, Orlando, San Diego, San Antonio, Austin, Dallas and Las Vegas.
IDmission COO Angela Schmuck recently spoke to FinTech Global about how the company is betting on composable KYC. Where traditional KYC is based on a set of fixed processes, composable KYC can adapt the KYC process to meet the needs of any type of business.
