Mobile app security platform Build38 has secured €3m in its pre-Series A funding round to support its market expansion.
The investment was co-led by Caixa Capital Risc and eCAPITAL ENTREPRENEURIAL PARTNERS, and was supported by existing investor G+D Ventures.
Funds from the round have been earmarked to help Build38 expand across Europe and Asia, as well as enhance the capabilities of its security solution and mobile fraud protection capabilities with more AI functions.
Build38 offers an AI-powered app protection and management platform to safeguard users from online threats. The solution has multi-layered protection, in-app monitoring and threat intelligence.
Its clients span the automotive, transit, e-identity, digital healthcare and financial services. Build38 helps to protect a number of apps, including digital car keys, mobile ticketing, SoftPOS and mobile IDs.
eCAPITAL partner Dirk Seewald said, “Mobile-first is a wave that comes with tremendous challenges securing the mobile itself, the app, digital valuables and personal data in the app as well as the backend processing infrastructure.
“There is no easier way than integrating the Build38 solution into mobile developers‘ and providers‘ systems to integrate a powerful cyber security architecture with just a few keystrokes. We very much look forward to becoming part of the Build38 success story and to work with a highly experienced team building the next mobile security category leader.“
