Digital services provider Accenture has acquired cyber defence consultancy Context Information Security for an undisclosed amount.
UK-based Context Information Security offers high-end cyber defence, intelligence-driven vulnerability research and incident response services. Its clients span financial services, government, aerospace and others, helping them to respond to threats of cyber-attacks.
Through the acquisition, Accenture is extending its defence capabilities as well as grow its team by 250 people.
Accenture senior managing director Kelly Bissell said, “This acquisition is an excellent match for us, combining a group of highly skilled cybersecurity professionals globally while providing differentiated services to clients in the U.K. market.
“The deal signals continued aggressive growth for Accenture Security and gives us a new branch of talented family members to help clients grow their business with confidence and resilience.”
Earlier in the year, Accenture agreed to acquire Symantec’s Cyber Security Services from Broadcom. The deal included Symantec’s global threat monitoring and analysis services which uses a network of security operation centres, real-time adversary and threat intelligence.
