Zoom, Theta Lake boost partnership with advanced security-focused integration

Zoom

Since 2018, Theta Lake, has formed a strong partnership with Zoom, one of the world’s leading video conferencing platforms.

Together, these two companies have aimed to improve the security and compliance aspects of Zoom’s unified communication (UC) suite.

The partnership was born out of a shared mission to provide advanced compliance and security solutions for Zoom’s UC suite. Their collaboration has been particularly beneficial for risk-sensitive and heavily regulated organisations, ensuring they meet their stringent security and compliance needs when using Zoom. This has already proven fruitful, with many leading organisations, such as five of the top ten North American banks, benefiting from this partnership.

Theta Lake specialises in offering deep, purpose-built compliance and security technology, which has seamlessly complemented Zoom’s unified communication suite. On the other hand, Zoom’s UC suite is an all-in-one platform that integrates video conferencing, chat, and virtual meetings, making global communications more accessible and efficient.

A key development in this partnership is the Theta Lake integration with the Zoom Contact Center. This new integration allows organisations to capture and store contact center recordings in the same manner as media-rich unified communications, which can contain valuable, sensitive data that needs to be secure. This integration aims to improve not only the security but also the management and use of such data.

The integration also brings a host of other benefits. It provides the capacity to capture and archive voice communications and even more services to come in the future. This feature can be particularly advantageous for IT staff and UC stakeholders, as it offers a comprehensive view to manage compliance applications and respond to governance events.

Furthermore, Zoom administrators can use Theta Lake to capture, analyse, and archive all contact center and unified communication content in a single platform. This content can then be flagged, redacted, thoroughly reviewed, and even tagged for legal hold.

Lastly, the Theta Lake and Zoom Contact Center integration also offers flexible archive storage options. These can be customised according to an organisation’s specific needs, ranging from Theta Lake hosted AWS or Azure storage to the clients’ own storage accounts. This flexibility ensures that organisations can align their archive storage strategy with compliant capture and retention of Zoom Contact Center and any other Zoom content for recordkeeping purposes.

Theta Lake and Zoom partnership has significantly boosted the security and compliance attributes of Zoom’s UC suite, according to both parties. This latest integration represents another step forward in this productive partnership, aiming to provide a more secure and compliant unified communications platform.
