WisdomTree has unveiled a new exchange traded fund focused on boosting cybersecurity developments.
The WisdomTree Cybersecurity Ucits ETF has been listed on London Stock Exchange, Borsa Italiana and Börse Xetra, has an expense ratio of 0.45%, Citywire Selector reported.
The new fund will track the performance of the WisdomTree Team8 Cyberseucrity Index, a basked of cybersecurity companies driving key developments and innovations in the industry.
“Demand for protection against cyber threats will increase as industries convert to online trading, more money changes hands electronically, more people do more work remotely, more home devices and previously personal items become connected, and as business and personal data and processing shifts increasingly to the cloud,” Chris Gannatti, head of research Europe at WisdomTree, told CityWire Selector.
WisdomTree has previously backed companies such as Securrency, a blockchain technology developer for the financial and regulatory sectors, which scored a $17.65m Series A round in January 2020.
