Vietnamese startup BankGo pulls in investment

Vietnamese banking and financial services comparison platform BankGo has secured its first round of funding.

The size of the investment is undisclosed as is the name of the investors with the company only citing an “investment director of a fund” in the region.

BankGo aims to make banking in Vietnam more-transparent by allowing users to compare financial products such as personal loans and credit cards.

The company claims $250,000 worth of loans booked through its platform since it launched its private bate trial in March.

BankGo says the round values it at $3m and coincides with the launch of its open beta version.

It will use the capital to fund product development and acquired more customers.
