TrustArc, a San Francisco-based data privacy management company, has launched new assessment solutions to help companies reach GDPR compliance.
The company is expanding its library of privacy assessments with the launch of over a dozen GDPR Assessment Solutions, which intend to further accelerate the process by which companies meet the impending May 25th GDPR deadline and maintain compliance afterward.
GDPR Assessments incorporate automated compliance capabilities including risk calculations and regulatory logic to make the assessment and reporting processes faster and easier according to TrustArc.
The library, which are available as additions to its privacy platform, will integrate with TrustArc Assessment Manager, Data Flow Manager and Individual Rights Manager to help automate workflow and generate compliance reports.
“Privacy regulations like the GDPR are inherently complex to manage,” said Chris Babel, CEO of TrustArc. “With today’s launch of the GDPR Assessment Library, we’re extending the unmatched compliance support we already offer within the TrustArc Privacy Platform to meet the demand for solutions that achieve more scalability and efficiency in processes such as risk calculations and reporting.”
The assessments address GDPR requirements including Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA), Individual Rights, Legitimate Interests and Vendor Risk.
Powered by Intelligent Content, they leverage automated functionality to make reporting faster and easier with capabilities such as gap analysis, risk calculations and remediation recommendations. The assessments were developed by TrustArc policy experts with the input and review from privacy regulators, external policy groups and law firms.
TrustArc provides data privacy compliance and risk management solutions through the combination of innovative technology, expert consulting and TRUSTe certification solutions. The TrustArc Privacy Platform delivers a flexible, scalable and secure way to manage privacy and comply with the global privacy regulation.
It enables users to create visual data maps of their organisation’s business processes and generate compliance reports, such as GDPR Article 30 reports, with records from their Data Inventory. Its workflow tools also enable the users to streamline PIAs and conduct online reviews of their practices against applicable policies and regulations. The TrustArc Privacy Platform also addresses EU Cookie Compliance with an application that allows consumers to provide consent for the collection and use of their personal information.
