ThreatLocker to supply cybersecurity tools to ConnectWise under new deal

ThreatLocker, a provider of endpoint security services, will provide ConnectWise with its cybersecurity tools as part of new deal.

ConnectWise deploys business management technology to improve a rang of business operations ranging from sales and services through to project tracking and back-office functions. With the integration of ThreatLocker, its clients that use managed IT service providers will be able to access new solutions such as application whitelisting, ringfencing and storage device control.

ThreatLocker gives enterprises cybersecurity tools which improve their endpoint and server security. Its technology is capable to detecting all software running on a device and block anything which is not explicitly trusted by the IT department.

The platform bolsters real-time auditing which tracks every action made by a user, storing what is read, written, deleted and moved to ensure complete transparency of the business.

Its solution can be used to protect companies from all types of malware, ransomware, cryptolocker, data theft, and unauthorised software usage. Financial services are using the platform to audit data access, secure ATM machines, securing computers and PCI compliance.

ThreatLocker CEO Danny Jenkins said, “The agreement with ConnectWise is an important step in arming Managed IT Service Providers with the tools needed to fight against today’s cyber threats. It is extremely difficult for smaller businesses to get the cybersecurity defenses that larger enterprises benefit from. This ConnectWise integration goes a long way in improving this.”

Earlier in the year, ConnectWise was acquired by US buyout giant Thoma Bravo for an undisclosed amount. The business plans to bolster its cybersecurity solutions and its sales and project tracking services.
