OneVisage is set to integrate its 3D facial biometry technology with globaliD’s digital identity solution as part of a new partnership between the two.
The companies have teamed together to combat the rising levels of cyber-fraud and ensure there are secure identity services.
Switzerland-based OneVisage is a cybersecurity and digital identity management solution provider which offers enterprises multi-factor biometric solutions. Its 3D facial authentication solution has a false match rate of one in 10,000 and boosts data protection while lowering login times compared with passwords.
Founded in 2013, globalID is a San Francisco-based digital identity solution which has developed a globally accessible neutral single sign-on platform. It works by transforming a user’s phone into their proof of identity.
Firstly, the consumer picks a unique username, following this, the app collects recommendations from trusted third-parties and attributes these to the user. Once this is all completed, the user is free to connect with participating apps and websites without revealing private information.
globaliD director Vadim Slavin said, “In order to provide the highest level of identity verification, globaliD has introduced the concept of attestations of personal information by multiple trusted partners across several categories of identity data including biometric.
“As part of collecting identity attestations, Premier Face by OneVisage will bring 3D facial biometry check to any modern Android or iOS mobile devices. This will enable globaliD’s users to easily access and connect with the world in a secure and reliable way.”
There has been a lot more activity within the fingerprint side of biometric authentication in recent weeks. However, Seven Bank recently revealed it is looking to deploy facial identification services at its ATMs for account opening.
