Irish startup Rubicoin, which offers an app to enable people to invest in stock markets, has landed €1.2m ($1m).
The business has landed the capital from existing and private investors, and will use the funds to bring its app to a global market.
With the new round closed, Rubicoin has now raised €3m ($2.8m) in fundraising to date.
In January, Rubicoin launched a new app in the US, which allowed users to select and manage various stocks.
The Invest by Rubicoin app claims to help people secure their financial future by making it simple to start investing through a smartphone.
It instructs users on how to buy shares and on what shares to buy throughout.
Last year, Emmet Savage, who co-founded the business alongside John Tyrrell in 2013, made a list of the 25 key people influencing Ireland’s fintech revolution.
