Intersys launches dedicated cyber risk office in London to boost insurer protection

Intersys, the leading UK-based provider of cyber risk management solutions, has announced it will be opening a dedicated office in London’s Leadenhall Market, to meet the growing cyber security demands of the UK insurance industry.

Intersys, the leading UK-based provider of cyber risk management solutions, has announced it will be opening a dedicated office in London’s Leadenhall Market, to meet the growing cyber security demands of the UK insurance industry.

The increasing number of cyber threats, especially within the insurance sector, drove the need for a specialised hub to deliver tailored cyber managed services.

The UK Government’s 2024 Cyber Security Breaches Survey revealed that half of UK businesses faced a cyber attack in the past year, which underscores the critical need for advanced protection solutions.

The newly launched hub in Leadenhall Market will act as a hub for delivering cyber managed services to insurance firms.

Intersys’ team of cyber security experts will collaborate with clients to develop customised solutions, ensuring that insurers are well-protected from evolving cyber threats.

The firm has established itself as a key player in cyber risk management. With nearly 30 years of experience, the company specialises in providing IT infrastructure, security solutions, and cloud infrastructure design for the insurance sector.

It supports placing platforms, underwriting, claims management, and exposure management systems, while also offering outsourced IT services to FinTech firms, which are essential suppliers to insurers.

The new office offers several advantages for insurance firms, including proactive cyber risk management solutions designed specifically for their needs. With the new location, Intersys will expand its services to provide enhanced protection, making insurers ten times less likely to experience cyber breaches than the national average.

Matthew Geyman, Managing Director at Intersys, commented on the launch, saying, “Insurers understand risk better than most, yet they themselves are prime targets for cyber attacks. The alarming statistic that 50% of UK businesses have suffered breaches underscores the urgent need for proactive risk management in the cyber domain. Intersys’ proven track record in significantly reducing cyber breaches for our clients demonstrates the effectiveness of our approach. We’re not just another tech company; we’re a trusted partner with a deep understanding of the insurance industry’s unique challenges.”

Catherine Geyman, Director of Enterprise Risk Management at Intersys, added, “Our understanding of the insurance world, combined with our long-standing ISO 27001 certification and our laser focus on security, positions us uniquely to support insurers. As the industry faces an expanding array of cyber threats, it’s crucial for insurers to adopt a holistic approach to risk management. By integrating cyber risk into broader enterprise risk strategies, we help our clients not only protect their operations but also build the resilience needed to navigate emerging challenges. With technology rapidly transforming the industry, it’s essential to have partners who understand where you’re starting from and where you’re headed. We look forward to expanding our support for the insurance sector with the opening of our new London hub.”
