The EU’s securities markets regulator is looking for stakeholders involved with financial industry innovation to join its group of consultative members.
The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) is looking for new candidates for the Consultative Working Group of the Financial Innovation Standing Committee (FISC).
The idea is that the Consultative Working Group is to involve market stakeholders in discussions related to financial innovation under ESMA’s remit, such as securities markets, market infrastructures, institutional and retail investors.
By tapping into their insights, ESMA hopes to be better suited to fulfil its objectives of investor protection, market integrity and financial stability. FISC looks to this group to provide expert advice regarding ESMA’s work on Financial Innovation.
Interested stakeholders can apply by January 31, 2021.
