Disability-focused InsurTech startup Getsurance nabs €2m

German InsurTech startup Getsurance has picked up €2m in a Seed round of funding.

The investment comes from Rocket Internet founder Alexander Samwer’s Picus Capital, Postfinance Bank and IBB Beteiligungsgesellschaft.

Getsurance is an online automated insurance broker specialising in biometric risk such as occupational disability.

The Berlin-based team of 12 aims to develop algorithms to analyse personal risk, customise policies and intermediate curated products.

The company plans to launch the product in June 2017.

Getsurance previously scored €500,000 in angel funding from the managers of rating agency Franke and Bornberg.
