Digidentity has released a new remote identification tool suite to help clients improve their identification checks when face-to-face meeting is not possible.
This new tool, which is available via Digidentity’s platform, leverages near field communication, liveness detection and selfie check to ensure legitimacy of identity. The RegTech company claims the tool can verify more than 4,000 different identity documents, including passports, identity cards and driving licences, from 180 countries.
With the new capabilities, Digidentity can now onboard new users within minutes and removes the need of physical presence.
Digidentity claims its remote identification services reduces the time taken to verify users and makes the process more efficient.
The release comes after successful implementation across a number of niche user groups.
Digidentity CTO Marcel Wendt said, “The development of Remote Identification is very important. It is the culmination of 13 years of developing identity services. We are proud to be leading identity verification into the future with our remote identification service, being rolled-out at an international level.”
“Remote Identification enables companies to identify both employees and customers efficiently. It can also arrange legal matters with great ease of use. This includes employment contracts, business services and onboarding processes. Following the impact of COVID-19, there has never been a greater need for this development.”
