Cybersecurity company NINJIO taps CSI: NY writer for new web series about the digital risk firms face

NINJIO, the cybersecurity awareness training company, has launched an animated series of videos where each episode teaches the viewer about a cyber threat.

For instance, in the first episode, NINJIO explains how the Capital One hack that exposed private data for about 106 million customers happened. Each episode is developed and co-produced by Hollywood writer Bill Haynes, best known from TV shows CSI: NY and Hawaii Five-O.

Recognising that employees failing to adhere to strict cybersecurity procedure lead to the majority of incidents, Zack Schuler, founder and CEO of NINJIO, wanted to create a new way of helping bosses keep their digital defences safe.

“[For] small businesses these errors can literally cost them their livelihood,” said Schuler. “After watching two friends nearly lose everything they’d worked for, one due to wire fraud and the other because of ransomware, I knew I had to do something. Developing an affordable, battle-tested solution geared toward smaller organizations—that may not otherwise have access to this necessary training – was the right move, and I believe it will prevent thousands of breaches in the future.”
