Cloud data services provider NetApp has acquired Talon Storage, a cloud-based data storage solution.
The value of the deal was not disclosed.
Following the close of the deal, Talon will be integrated within NetApp to give customers better access to public clouds and a centralised system for their data storage.
NetApp is a cloud data services solution which enables clients to ease the management of applications and data across cloud and on-premises environments. Its products and solutions include data storage, protection, security and infrastructure management.
NetApp senior vice president and general manager Anthony Lye said, “As we grow our cloud data services offerings with solutions like Cloud Volumes ONTAP®, Cloud Volumes Service, Azure NetApp Files and Cloud Insights, we are excited about the potential that lies in front of this new combined team to deliver complete solutions for primary workloads.
“We share the same vision as the team did at Talon – a unified footprint of unstructured data that all users access seamlessly, regardless of where in the world they are, as if all users and data were in the same physical location. And to do this without impacting workflow, user experience – and at a lower cost.”
Talon centralises unparalleled data to help businesses get more from their own information.
