Digital solution developer Central 1 has released SecureKey Concierge which enables financial institutions to offer single sign-on authentication service for members.
By integrating this service, customers of the financial institutions would be able to access additional online services through their existing digital banking credentials, lowering the need for multiple logins. Vancity credit union and Conexus Credit Union are the first institutions to implement this solution with their system.
The new solution was developed alongside SecureKey Technologies, a developer of digital ID and authentication services. The company enables consumers to connect their identity information with trusted institutions, improving connectivity of data but ensuring information is only shared after receiving consent from the user.
Canada-based Central 1 developed the SecureKey Concierge so credit unions and financial institutions could implement the identity solution without the need of developing any software.
Conexus chief digital officer, Jeremy Trask said, “The launch of SecureKey Concierge brings new digital functionalities right to our members’ fingertips, while making their online life safer and easier.
“We are continually looking for ways to serve our members’ needs and provide solutions that are timely and relevant. SecureKey Concierge enables just that for our members, especially with tax season just around the corner.”
Central 1 builds a range of software products for the financial, digital banking and payment spaces in Canada.
SecureKey Technologies previously landed C$27m ($20.56m) in growth capital round in 2016 from investors including BMO Bank of Montreal, Bank of Nova Scotia, and CIBC Capital Partners.
