Zebit brings in new chief of risk and analytics

Zebit, a provider of e-commerce credit solutions, has appointed a new chief of risk and analytics.

Pini Ben-Or has joined the company having previously led the analytics at Actimize, a provider of financial crime, risk and compliance software and models for financial institutions.

In addition, Ben-Or has led advanced risk analytic functions at American Express and Washington Mutual, marketing analytics and information management at Time, and marketing and value optimisation at Digitas and Advanta, a consumer lender.

At Zebit, Ben-Or will be taksed with expanding the data science team and evolving the application of data-driven advanced analytics and machine learning to optimise all aspects of Zebit’s marketing, underwriting, credit and fraud operations and profit-driven customer management.

“We are thrilled to have Pini join the executive team as we rapidly scale the business and build better solutions for millions of credit-constrained consumers. He is a rare senior executive that can manage and drive business outcomes, while building advanced predictive models side-by-side with the team,” said Marc Schneider, co-founder, president, and CEO of Zebit.

San Diego-based Zebit is an e-commerce credit solution that enables users to buy now and pay over time at 0% interest without a traditional credit check.

By providing underserved consumers with up to $2,500 of interest-free credit and access to a marketplace of millions of brand name products, Zebit claims to give members the ability to transact online and offline at everyday prices while spreading their payments over time. The FinTech is backed by Crosslink Capital, Wildcat Venture Partners, Leapfrog Ventures, Ulu Ventures, and Correlation Ventures.
