YL Ventures adds 24 cybersecurity experts to advisor network

YL Ventures, a seed-stage venture capital firm focusing on Israeli cybersecurity innovation, has expanded its venture advisor network.

The firm’s four existing advisors (Tom Baltis, CISO of Delta Dental Insurance; Andy Ellis, CSO of Akamai; Amichai Schulman, co-Founder and former CTO of Imperva; and Justin Somaini, CSO of SAP) will be joined by an additional 24 chief information security officers and cybersecurity experts.

Its new advisors include Tomasz Chowanski (CISO, Community Banking, Consumer Lending and Operations of Wells Fargo), Ken Gonzalez (managing director of NightDragon Security), David Tsao (CISO of Veeva Systems), Rob Geurtsen ( deputy information security officer of Nike), Colin Anderson (CISO of Levi, Strauss & Co), Roger Hale (CISO of Informatica), George Do (CISO of Equinix), and Adam Ely (VP and Deputy CISO of Walmart), David Tsao (CISO of Veeva Systems), and Billy Rios (founder of WhiteScope).

Based in Silicon Valley and Tel Aviv, YL Ventures manages $140 million across three funds focused on seed-stage, deep-technology B2B companies in the fields of cybersecurity, enterprise software and automotive technologies

It current portfolio includes Vulcan, MediGate, Axonius, Karamba, Twistlock and Upstream Commerce. The venture capital firm has also sold Hexadite to Microsoft, Firelayers to Proofpoint, BlazeMeter to Ca technologies, Seculert to Radware, and AcceloWeb to Limelight Networks.
