Thrive acquires fellow CyberTech Storagepipe

Thrive, a provider of cybersecurity, cloud and digital transformation managed services, has acquired cloud and data protection provider Storagepipe.

The size of the deal was not disclosed.

Founded in 2001, Storagepipe is a Canadian CyberTech platform that offers backup-as-a-service and disaster recovery-as-a-service platforms. It is the global provider of IT infrastructure services with a scalable multi-tenant architecture delivered from data centres in Canada, the US and the UK.

Its features include backup-as-a-service, disaster recovery, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity and managed services.

Thrive CEO Rob Stephenson said, “Thrive is excited to welcome Storagepipe to help accelerate our rapidly expanding international footprint, especially in Toronto as a key Financial Services Hub.

“Storagepipe’s growing customer base across multiple industries in the Enterprise, Mid-Market and SMB will add tremendous value to Thrive’s Managed Services, Cloud and Cybersecurity offerings in the Canadian market.”

This deal marks Thrive’s third acquisition outside of the US since 2001.

Thrive is a next-gen managed services platform that optimises business performance and reduces internal resource constraints and staffing worries.

In other CyberTech news, Token, a company that has developed a next-generation authentication wearable, raised $30m in a new funding round.

The company’s Token ring is activated with fingerprint biometrics, and provides proximity security through NFC connectivity and secure credentials with an EAL5+ certified secure element.
