The EBA launches discussion paper for an integrated reporting system

The European Banking Authority (EBA) has published the discussion paper on the feasibility study of an integrated reporting system.

This hopes to collate feedback from stakeholders as it prepares for its final report.

In the paper, it outlines possible options around the main building blocks of the integrated system. This includes a single data dictionary and single reporting system across supervisory, resolution and central bank statistical data.

The document offers a range of options for the various aspects of the system, including a data dictionary and a central data collection point.

This discussion paper follows a fact-finding and research phase, as well as the experience of the relevant authorities in integrating reporting.

The regulator claims the system could increase efficiencies and reduce costs for the entire reporting ecosystem.

The consultation will end on 11 June 2021.
