Shift Technology to help Suravenir Assurances with fraud detection

Shift Technology, an AI-powered fraud detection and claims automation solution, is deploying its solution to property insurer Suravenir Assurances to help tackle fraudulent claims.

Suravenir Assurances, which has around 2.9 million private policy holders, will use Shift’s Force service to automate the detection of potentially fraudulent automobile and multi-risk home (MRH) insurance claims.

The Force solution analyses an insurer’s claims data to identity potential fraud by comparing with constantly evolving fraud scenarios and models.

Shift Technology leverages AI and SaaS technology to help insurers safeguard their processes. It also delivers claims automation to handle workflows from initial claim filling through to payout.

Shift Technology commercial director for France Benoît Legros said, “This partnership with Suravenir Assurances illustrates the growing tendency of French insurers to choose our Force fraud detection solution, not only for Automobile but also for Multi-Risk Home insurance.

“We are very happy with the work carried out with the Suravenir Assurances teams, and are looking ambitiously towards the future,”

Last year, auto insurer L’olivier implemented Shift’s anti-fraud technology so it can receive automatic alerts for potentially fraudulent claims.

Shift Technology collected $60m in its Series C round last year, following support from Bessemer Venture Partners, Accel, General Catalyst and Iris Capital.
