R98 strengthens cybersecurity solutions with two new hires

R9B, a provider of advanced cybersecurity solutions and training, has expanded its executive team by hiring Steve Picot and Jack Bruckner.

Picot, the former chief sales officer at IronNet Cybersecurity, joins the company as chief revenue officer and will lead the company’s customer-facing and marketing functions.
Bruckner, who previously worked at Schryver Medical Sales and Marketing, joins as chief financial officer and will responsible for R9B’s financial and business operations.

CEO Eric Hipkins said: “The expansion of our leadership team is an integral part of the company’s strategy, and comes at a time when our products, services, and customer base are facing continued growth and financial performance. Steve and Jack will further enrich our team with the skills and expertise needed to continue driving this momentum and helping address our customers’ needs in safeguarding their enterprises with the latest innovation in advanced cyber technologies.”

At IronNet Cybersecurity, a venture-funded behavioural analytics company, Picot played a key role in achieving over 200 percent growth in revenue. Prior to IronNet, he served as Chief Executive Officer at Ascolta, a privately-funded cyber analytics company. His positions spanned from systems engineer, sales, sales management, to technical consulting while he served at Cisco, Brocade, SAS and KPMG.

During his time at Schryver Medical, Bruckner served as Vice President of Finance and Accounting and supported the M&A activities for seven healthcare company acquisitions, doubling sales to over $100m annually. He previously held roles within HukariAscendent, CIBER, Vexcel Corporation, and Northrup Grumman.

Based in Colorado Springs, R9B is a provider of advanced cybersecurity services and training for commercial and government clients. On the commercial side, the business protect all types of industries, such as financial services, healthcare, retail, media and entertainment, telecommunications, and technology. Along with training, R9B also offers a range of traditional cybersecurity solutions including vulnerability assessment and penetration testing, incident response, cyber policy assessment, network cybersecurity design analysis, forensic data analysis, and malware analysis.

The company was recently purchased by Tracker Capital Management, an early-stage investor focused principally on emerging technologies and companies with the potential to advance US national security interests. Earlier this month, R9B announced that during the last quarter of 2017 it received more than $5.5m dollars in Government and Commercial contracts.
