Property.Works picks up £1.5m for commercial real estate

Commercial property marketplace Property.Works has closed £1.5m in a seed funding round.

The investment comes from Passion Capital, M7 Real Estate and the former head of European commercial real estate services firm JLL European Robert Orr.

Launched in December last year the London-based company was started by Joe Cohen who previously founded Seatwave before selling it to Ticketmaster.

Property.Works aims to make it easier for SMEs to find available commercial properties and contact agents to arrange viewings and close deals.

The company aims to partner with agents and landlords to offer listings of available properties for free with database and search tools.

The platform is monetised by charging agents for successful introductions.

Property.Works claims there are an estimated 200,000 UK properties available to let in the commercial sector.
