Minuteman Security Technologies buys Norris for an undisclosed sum of money

Massachusetts-based cybersecurity company Minuteman Security Technologies has expanded its reach by acquiring Norris, an integrator.

While neither of the parties disclosed the final pricetag for Norris, Minuteman Security Technologies claims the deal makes it the region’s biggest independent provider of integrated security, communication and life-safety systems.

“We are excited to welcome Norris into the Minuteman family,” said Joseph Lynch, CEO of Minuteman Security Technologies. “As we strive to provide customers with best-in-class advanced security systems, Norris deepens our presence in a core North-Eastern market, expands our offering into fire life safety, and adds Vigilance, a proprietary mass notification system, to our cutting-edge technologies.”

Harty Norris, board chairman of Norris, and his brother Brad Norris, a board advisor, may have retired from the company, but still expressed excitement about the deal. “I am thrilled about this next chapter for Norris,” Harty Norris said. “Brad and I are incredibly proud of how we have grown Norris over the last 40 years, with a focus on doing important work that contributes to public safety and building a great work environment for our employees. We are pleased to have found a partner in Minuteman, which shares these values and our collective commitment to quality and innovation.”
