FormAssembly rakes in first external funding with $10 Series A

FormAssembly, a web form platform streamlining the collection of data, has closed its Series A on $10m, marking the startup’s first external funding.

New York-based, technology-focused investment firm Level Equity led the round. As part of the deal, Level Equity partner George McCulloch will join the FormAssembly board of directors.

Capital from the round will be used to accelerate the secure collection and processing of data. Funds will also be used to increase the size of its remote team.

Founded in 2006, the bootstrapped company helps businesses across the financial services, healthcare, life sciences, and high education industries with the compliance and protection of data processes.

Its web form solution helps organisations create as many digital documents they need with automated data collection tools capable of storing the required information. A drag and drop form builder empowers simplified customisability, and integration capabilities support incorporations of other third-party services such as payment providers.

The HIPAA and PCI DSS compliant platform gives clients full control of their data including tax information, PHI, and PII. Onboarding support, GDPR tools, e-signatures, EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Compliance, TLS encryption, FERPA compliance, and data management, are just some of the tools available to help compliance teams.

FormAssembly CEO and founder Cedric Savarese said, “We’re in the midst of a massive shift in the way businesses, consumers, and regulators think about the collection, sharing, and use of personal data.

“We have a unique opportunity to combine our state-of-the-art data collection and workflow automation platform with tools and services designed to help our customers be good stewards of the data entrusted to them. Level Equity, with its vast insight and experience, is the ideal partner to help us scale up our vision.”
