Evident partners with Okta to improve online identity verification

Identity and credential verification platform Evident has partnered with Okta, a fellow identity solution.

Integrating their solutions together will give businesses an easier and quicker solution to verify identities and determine access to a platform. At the same time, it will lower risks and liability linked to personally identifiable information by limiting exposures of the data.

Its combined solution will ensure users are verified and have the necessary credentials to access sensitive data on the Okta platform.

Evident helps clients to conduct identity verification and background checks without having to handle sensitive data. Businesses can access hundreds of direct data sources and thousands of verification types, with multi-level identity proofing to ensure people are who they claim to be.

Some of the personal information which is stored natively and can be externally accessed by a vendor or customer include identity, criminal history, watchlists, financial records, background checks, professional licences, education, employment, insurance and assets, among others.

Okta is an identity cloud system which connects devices to people who have the necessary access requirements.

Evident CEO David Thomas said, “Our partnership with Okta reaffirms the importance of strong identity proofing and verification processes as part of any business’ identity and access management efforts.

“Given the increasing number of fraudulent identities online, enterprises must start thinking more broadly about identity verification. Our partnership facilitates this expansive approach by providing Okta customers with an easy and secure way to confidently verify an individual’s identity, credentials, and other key facts to determine the right level of access for each application.”
