Cybersecurity platform L7 Defense closes $4m seed round

Cybersecurity platform L7 Defense has closed a $4m financing round, which will help it to bolster its marketing and business development efforts.

The round was led by TRUMPF Venture, with contribution also coming from Quick Heal Technologies.

This equity burst will also be used to bolster its leadership, bolster its marketing and business development activities and extend its market reach.

L7 Defense is an API security startup that helps companies automate their security, protecting bother their APIs and API-based applications.

TRUMPF Venture managing director Dieter Kraft said, “We are excited to join the L7 Defense board and support the company’s international expansion.

“API security becomes critical for all major industries, including the financial, infrastructure and energy sectors, but also the industrial production that sees increasing adoption of smart factories. We have the highest confidence in the company’s ability to become the ultimate leader in the API security domain.”

Last week, compliance and security automation startup Drata exited stealth mode after the close of a $3.2m seed funding round.
