Cybersecurity platform CRITICALSTART forms deal with SYNNEX

CRITICALSTART, a provider of managed detection and response services, has formed an agreement with SYNNEX Corporation.

The deal will see it provide its managed detection and response services to the SYNNEX’s network of US channel partners.

CRITICALSTART’s managed detection and response (MDR) services is based on a zero-trust analytics platform (ZTAP) which collates and investigates all alerts until they are safely dismissed – reducing 99 per cent of false alerts or those which require attention.

The company’s MOBILESOC application enables communication with clients and helps them investigate, escalate and remediate security issues from wherever they are.

CRITICALSTART vice president of business development Alin Srivastava said, “Faced with an overwhelming number of alerts, companies are being forced into compromises by their managed security providers leading to unnecessary risk and increasing breaches. This agreement with SYNNEX will play a significant role in rapidly expanding our geographic reach and sales coverage across the U.S. as more companies turn to our approach that resolves all security events and adapts to each customer’s unique needs.

“SYNNEX’ best-in-class distribution and logistics capabilities, combined with its cybersecurity expertise and a vast network of channel partners make it ideal for promoting and selling our unique MDR services on a national scale.”

This partnership comes just months after CRITICALSTART closed a $40m minority investment from growth equity firm Sagemount. The deal marked the first outside capital for CRITICALSTART and is being used to expand its market presence.
