Cyberpion to boost sales and marketing with close of $8.25m seed round

Security platform Cyberpion has closed its seed round on $8.25m to help it increase its sales and marketing efforts.

The investment capital will also be used to expand the product development efforts for its Ecosystem Security™ platform.

Team8 Capital and Hyperwise Ventures co-led the investment.

Cyberpion empowers security teams to identify and neutralise the rising threats stemming from vulnerabilities within online assets throughout an enterprise’s ecosystem. Its technology continuously performs a security assessment to find any vulnerabilities within assets and connections.

The platform has an extensive inventory of known and unknown assets of an enterprise’s ecosystem to help it understand the network. If the system notices anything abnormal it will provide timely alerts with directions and automated protection to resolve the threat.

Hyperwise Ventures managing partner Nathan Shuchami said, “Attacks on external digital assets of enterprises are becoming a prominent vector for sophisticated cyber criminals.

“In the face of hackers finding vulnerabilities in new and wider attack surfaces, Cyberpion offers unparalleled detection and protection capabilities, providing comprehensive security across the organization’s entire online ecosystem. Hyperwise Ventures is thrilled to co-lead the seed funding round in Cyberpion.”

There have been a number of cybersecurity investments this month. Intelligence-driven managed security services company deepwatch recently closed its Series B round on $53m to help it increase its research and development efforts.
