BNY Mellon forms partnership with Early Warning Services

BNY Mellon has partnered with risk and payments solution provider Early Warning Services (EWS) so it can offer customers real-time account validation.

Clients of BNY Mellon will be able to validate the status and owner of accounts across the US in real-time and access boosted risk and fraud prevention on payments. The tool is payment agnostic and can be used to verify the status of an account and ownership bfore money is transferred.

It will leverage the Real-time Payment Chek® Service of EWS and will validate if an account is legitimate.

BNY is offering clients various ways to access the solution, including real-time application programming interface (API) integration, batch-file services and an online user interface.

BNY Mellon global head of payments and transaction services Michael Bellacosa said, “We are very pleased to work with Early Warning Services to bring this integrated solution to our clients.

“Our goal is to support our clients’ digital journeys in the payments space and to help them achieve greater operational efficiencies, manage risk and reduce cost.”
