53% of young cybersecurity professionals are afraid of automation

While young professionals in tech are usually optimistic about innovation, it seems as if 53% of cybersecurity workers under the age of 45 believe it is a threat to their jobs.

That’s according to a new report from security advisors Exabeam. It found that more than half of young cybersecurity professionals agreed or strongly agreed that machine learning and artificial intelligence was a threat to their job security, according to TechRepublic.

The survey also found that 88% of workers in the sector embrace new technology.

Exabeam polled 350 cybersecurity professionals from the US, Germany, Singapore, Australia and the UK.
