RegTek.Solutions names new CFO

RegTech 100 company RegTek.Solutions, a regulatory reporting solutions provider, has appointed Rob Bernstein as CFO.

Bernstein joins RegTek.Solutions’ growing team from TIM Group where he held the position of CFO for seven years. During his career, he has successfully led both organic and acquisition growth strategies, fund raises, and executed on two trade sales of tech-enabled fast growth businesses: a telecommunications business and more recently, the FinTech firm TIM Group.

Brian Lynch, CEO and co-founder of RegTek.Solutions, commented: “Rob’s outstanding experience in the financial technology sector will make him a great addition to our management team and I am delighted to have him join us as CFO. Since our launch we’ve seen an exceptional level of growth and now is the right time for us to have a CFO experienced in high-growth companies. Rob will be a key asset in us meeting our commitments to clients and enabling them to meet their regulatory requirements.”

Founded in 2017, RegTek.Solutions claims to mutualise the cost and shoulders the burden of tracking and implementing critical regulatory reporting solutions. It combines independent, market-validated actionable regulatory intelligence, with proven technologies to offer solutions to all financial institutions’ regulatory reporting challenges.

With offices in New York, London and Riga, the company is backed by the Deutsche Börse Group, through their DB1 ventures division, along with Illuminate Financial Management, the specialist Capital Markets venture fund.

Earlier this year, the company launched a data quality assurance solution for ESMA’s Securities Financing Transaction Regulation (SFTR). Validate.Trade for SFTR will enable clients to start testing the quality and integrity of their SFTR data, across all products and data fields according to the company. It tracks and maintains rules accordance with the conventions, expectations and best practices of regulators, repositories, and the securities financing market. Over 700 rules specific to SFTR have already been built and tested on the platform, and are available for clients to test their data against today.
