Protiviti closes deal with RiskLens to offer cyber risk qualification services

Protiviti, a global consulting firm, has partnered with cybersecurity startup RiskLens to offer a new Cyber Risk Quantification as a service solution.

Through quantitative risk analysis using hard data, CIOs and CISOs will be able to understand the effectiveness of their cybersecurity program. This will improve decisions around budgets, technology investments and regulatory compliance.

The new solution will let companies assess cyber threats through open quantitative risk measurement methodologies, design and implement programs and processes to improve cybersecurity on a business risk front, and educate employees around safe online practices.

Clients will also be capable of establishing cybersecurity data centres which collates, processes and stores relevant metrics for analysis and reporting.

Protiviti managing director Andy Retrum said, “Protiviti’s Cyber Risk Quantification service, powered by the RiskLens Platform, delivers a continual, data-driven assessment of an organization’s current state of cyber risk.

“Armed with this data, cybersecurity teams are able to better manage risks in business terms; determine if they are investing their cybersecurity budgets in the right areas and if they have sufficient cyber insurance; evaluate ROI; and provide meaningful insights to senior leadership and the board.”

Protiviti is a consulting firm which offers expertise, insights and collaboration for a range of business-critical problems such as technology, business process, internal audit, transactions, analytics, risk and compliance. Its services are used across the financial services, healthcare and government industries, among others, to help with data management, digitalisation, and compliance.

RiskLens is a quantitative cyber risk management platform which helps cyber teams better understand and communicate their cyber risk exposures. The company recently closed a Series B on $20.55m to support the expansion of its sales and marketing efforts.
